When the temperature dips in the winter, there’s no more comforting meal than a bowl of homemade soup. And when that soup is made with love by people in the community giving their time to make a difference in the lives of others, it’s even more heartwarming!
Every month for more than five years, volunteers have gathered in the kitchen at Okanagan Street Food to prepare homemade soup under the watchful eye of Chef Neil Schroeter, who generously donates his space and equipment.
Mushroom bean and barley. Red lentil. Chicken noodle. The soups are delicious and nutritious and they ensure the women and children who stay at Kelowna Women’s Shelter always have access to a quick and easy meal.
How fortunate we are. From the bottom of our tummies…. err hearts…. Thank you!
