Are you a bookkeeper with at least three years’ experience in the field? Are you keen to take on a role that will allow you to help end violence against women and support women and children in need? Are you an independent, self-starter who thrives on variety and new challenges?
The Kelowna Women’s Shelter seeks a finance coordinator to take on bookkeeping, accounting and payroll duties for its operations, which include a thriving Thrift Store.
The successful candidate must, at minimum, have completed grade 12 and post-secondary courses in areas such as bookkeeping, payroll, and/or office procedures. Experience in the non-profit sector, and specifically with British Columbia government contract funding applications and reports are preferred. Experience administering employee benefits plans and Municipal Pension Plan are assets.
This 30-hours/week position may include the option for the successful candidate to work some hours from home.
